MARTIN LUTHER KING, JR.
- In January, we learn more about a great humanitarian and human rights leader, Martin Luther King, Jr. In addition, we will highlight Harriet Tubman, Rosa Parks, and Human Rights for Children as outlined by Amnesty International. We will work on Reader' Theater Plays, read books and write about our own dreams. - See: Powerpoint, I Have A Dream Graphic Organizer, I Have A Dream for Mobile , Montgomery Bus and Childeren , Take a Look at Our Dream Bulletin Board Grades K-3

BOOK REPORTS

- STORYTELLING
Collaborative with Finkelstein Memorial Library. Children will participate in 4-week storytelling sessions during Friday recess. Children will have the opportunity to select an age-appropriate traditional story, practice telling that story, and create a video recording of their presentation. Four week sessions will begin in November and run through April of 2006. Sessions will begin with 3rd grade students. Each session will host 12-15 students.
