My Summer
I got bumped, splashed, and frightened. I bet you are wondering what happened to me this summer. Hang on and I'll tell you! My family and I did so many things over the summer, you can't even count. First we went to Playland with my friend Asheli, and I went on so many rides. One of them was called "Super Flight". It goes in a loop, upside down, and fast. Another ride we went on was the water boat ride. It's like a ride, with water. You get on a boat, then it goes slow up, and when it reaches the top, it stops, then BOOM, it goes fast. You get wet, and get your picture taken on one, and the other wets you and your hair a lot the first time. One that I loved was the bumper cars. I learned a lot about crashing. It was fun.
Do you want to know what happened on my brother's birthday? I'll tell you. First, my friend Asheli slept over. Then we went to sleep. The next day is the party and it rained. My brother, Asheli and I wake up, and get dressed. The Fist people to come to my brother's birthday are my uncle Christen, his wife, and his three kids. Alex, Danny, Patrice. We had so much fun together. Then my other aunts, uncles, Kelvin, Michele, my Uncle Patrick, and my grandma joined us. The last people to come were my cousin, Royalty Roy, Jesuse, my aunt, and my dad's cousin. We all started to dance and eat. Then it was 7:00 pm and my best friend had to leave. At about 10:00 pm everyone was dancing and watching TV. Then my Uncle Christen and his family had to go. A few minutes later, the second group that arrived had to leave. The rest of our company stayed. That was when the after-party started. My dad put on Dominican music. I taught my cousin how to dance Meringues. At 2:00 am everybody was still dancing. My cousin and I went upstairs to listen to her mom's IPod. Then we put on our sleeping clothes and went back down to dance. Finally, we had to go to sleep. Before my cousin and I went to sleep, we put on our bathing suits. We were supposed to go to Welch Lake but my dad said no, because it was cold. When everyone left, the sun came out.
Did you know that my cousin slept over my house? She did, and I will tell you all about it. We did so many things. When she got here she went on the computer. Then we put on our sleeping clothes, put on music, and had a small party in my room. We were supposed to go to sleep, but we didn't. I had a plan. When my mom and dad went to sleep, we would wake up and watch TV, and we did. The next day we woke up, brushed our teeth, and ate breakfast. Then we put on our clothes and played outside on the swings. After that we came inside, ate lunch, took a bath, and went on the computer. We had a lot of fun. We did the same thing for the whole week. On Saturday my cousin had to go home. We did so many things together that I wanted her to move in to my house. When my cousin and her mom were driving away, my mom and I followed them for a while, but then we went to the Bronx to get our hair done. After that, we went to my grandma's house and ate there. After we finished and were ready to go, my uncle, cousin, and aunt came with my other cousin. My other cousin stayed downstairs at my other aunt's house. When they left, we went home and went to sleep.
This summer I had to stay at my grandma's house when my parents went to work. My brother and I would do so many things. When we got there each morning, we had to go to sleep for an hour. Then we would wake up and have breakfast. Sometimes I would go to sleep and then wake up to use the computer. After my brother would wake up and play with me. One time it was 12:30 and my grandma would still be sleeping. Then I would wake her up and we would eat lunch. Sometimes we would take our homework and do it there. Now all I have to do is my book report and that is about it. When my friend Jessica was here, we used to dance and play all the time.
My dad's cousin, Julisa, and her son Jaden came over my house on Saturday. The same day my family went shopping. We went to JC Penney. They had a sale that we couldn't miss. We bought so many things. A lot of it was mine. We almost bought the whole store. When we went to pay we thought we would get 10% off, but the sale was only good for Thursday, and Friday. So we had to leave the clothes there and go back at 4:00. After we finished shopping we went and ate. Then we went to Macy's at the Nanuet Mall and bought a couple of thing there. When we went back, we saw my dad's mom, and Julisa's mom. They stopped by our house and we had a good time. The next day they came back at 3:00 and had a BBQ. It was fun.
On August 27 do you want to know what I did? Well, first my dad said that he had to go to work in the afternoon, because at his job in Brooklyn they were having a celebration that they have every August. This August my dad was in charge of the soda. We dropped him off there and went to my aunt's house. My cousins were at my godmother's house so we had to wait until they came. When they joined us, we started to use the laptop then we played with their dog. After we went to the store. We came back thinking we were going to get in trouble because we stayed there for a long time. But we didn’t. A few minutes after, my mom said that we had to go to Western Beef where my dad works. We played on some of the rides. It was so much fun. Then we saw my cousin who works there. We also saw Jeffrey, my other cousin. My cousins and I only got to go on two rides. When it was time to leave, we took our cousins home and then we went home.
